Students / Tutors who are currently attending high school are eligible to become tutors. Interview both tutors (Elif) and students (Cigdem). Each student will be interviewed before starting the program as a tutor

Classes: 

English 

New topic will be given every two weeks 

 to create opportunities to enrich one’s knowledge on the topic while improving their literature skills

Program duration :Nov 15th - May 17th

[ 2 sessions/week, each 30 mins 4 hours/month]

 

Rules and Conditions of the Meetings 

  • Founders can join any session at any time to supervise.
  • Online meetings will be held on Zoom, links for the sessions will be sent by the co-founders after a tutor and a student are matched based on their availability
  • If a party cannot make it to a scheduled meeting, one of the co-founders must be informed 24 hours in advance.
  •  If a tutor or a student fails to inform founders 24 hours in advance two times in a month, their right as a student/tutor will be discharged (no longer a participant of the program). 
  • If a session cannot happen or end earlier than scheduled (<30 mins) because of the student, tutors will get their assigned hours regardless. 
  •  Tutors must commit a minimum of 20 hours before they can earn their volunteer hours 
  • Students and Tutors will be re-matched every 4 weeks. 
  • At the end of the program (May 17th 2025), eligible tutors will receive extra 5 volunteer hours upon completing all 27 hours possible. 
  • Any discussion during a session must be related to the assigned topic.
